Painting in pure watercolour medium he uses a painstaking multi glazing technique, with sometimes up to 17 layers of transparent paint, each in turn delicately modulating the colours beneath. There is no white paint used at all in any of his works preferring instead to preserve areas of the natural paper, his paintings can take many weeks in the making.

A recurring theme in his work is the reclamation by nature of that which man has created and abandoned, finding renewed life between object and environment.

In 2010 he is one of 20 International watercolour artists invited by the Chinese Government to exhibit at the Shanghai Biennial, which is expected to attract 2 million visitors.  Following the Biennial he has been invited to display a solo exhibition in the same venue running through November 2010.

I find inspiration in quiet corners of our world which for a few brief moments have taken on a deeper significance to me. The common place or the overlooked become my subject material as nature slowly reclaims that which man has abandoned or cast aside, creating a fragile beauty which is ever changing.
